Workshop will be taught in both French and English

This Mothers Day workshop is a great way for daughters and sons ages 12 and up to spend the day learning new skills with their moms!

Make Mom a reusable canvas bag with a coin pocket. Learn how to sew zippers, make straps and improve your dexterity on the sewing machine.

Youth 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are also welcome to take this class on their own to make their moms (or themselves) a bag.

About the instructor: Catherine Dallaire studied Fashion at Marie-Victorin College in Montreal, specializing in Fur. She has worked in apparel research and innovation, created costumes and designed recycled clothing. Catherine enjoys working with various textures and on stimulating projects.

Bird Mobiles – Sewn by Hand

Spring is just around the corner, crazy, right?! Are you or someone you know expecting a baby? Looking for a great hand crafted gift? By the end of this workshop you will be well on your way to creating a beautiful bird mobile.

All materials provided. All sewing done by hand. The original pattern for this project was designed by Michael Fulkerson.

About the instructor: Susan Glynn-Morris is not an expert seamstress, but that’s what makes this sewing project so great – you don’t have to be! After 40+ birds she has worked out the kinks and managed to produce some beautiful mobiles. And you can too!
