Workshop Series: Future and Foresight Thinking

Wednesday October 27 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until November 10, 2021

Free

Join us for a three part Futures and Foresight workshop series on Oct. 27, Nov. 3, and Nov. 10th from 6 – 8pm at NorthLight Innovation.

When you think of the future, do you think about what you are going to do this weekend, where you are going to vacation next year, or what your grandkids will be like?

Or do you think about the trend of working from home, the breakthroughs in quantum computing and the launching of low orbit satellites for internet connectivity and think maybe soon you’ll be able to attend a Virtual Reality meeting “in person” while hiking the Tombstones. That is thinking like a Futurist.

If you could envision the same possibilities when wireless communications was just starting, when the first communications satellites were launching or when processing went from vacuum tubes to circuits then you are thinking like a Futurist.

The tools used in these sessions can be applied to help you anticipate disruption, map systems interactions, and identify transformative opportunities for your life, your work, and the world.

These game nights will introduce you to a Futurist way of thinking that won’t just be fun, it might just change the way you think!

Registration is free, commitment to all three workshops is preferred as each workshop will build on the work from the previous one. Snacks and beverages provided.
