This workshop takes place on April 7, 2022, from 7:30-8:30 pm
In this one-hour beginner sewing class, you will learn the basics of a Serger Sewing Machine (Overlock Machine). This is meant as a quick introduction to the Serger. You will get hands-on experience while making a fleece hand warmer. We will thread the machine, adjust the tension and go over tips and tricks for choosing the right serger for your needs and troubleshooting.
All materials will be provided to make one hand warmer.
This workshop is part of our MAKER EXPERIENCES series where we offer participants a “bite-size” experience-based version of our regular workshops. These 1-hour workshops give participants the opportunity to learn about a certain area of Yukonstruct’s Makespace (Forging, woodworking, laser cutting, sewing) and get hands-on experience making a simple project. These experiences are meant to offer a taste of each area of the Makespace and are not comprehensive workshops.
