This workshop takes place on Tuesday November 30, 2021 from 6-9pm.
Cate Robertson will teach you how to make the unique handles she uses for her Charcuterie boards. These handles would be a beautiful addition to any cutting board or Charcuterie board. They could also be used on a drawer or cupboard.
This workshop covers the basics of how to use YuKonstruct’s induction forge including safety, power settings and working with different metals. Thanks to a small group size you will get lots of practice!
Closed-toe shoes, long sleeves and long pants as well as non-flammable, non-synthetic clothing are required for this workshop. Participants may wish to bring their own leather gloves and protective eyewear.
Considered orientation and safety training for the induction forge for Yukonstruct members.
About the Instructor: Cate Began making stunning wood products from wine barrels and live edge wood as a way to keep herself busy during Covid. She has since been selling her beautiful products in BC and the Yukon. Cate recently moved to the Yukon to be closer to her daughter and is a fantastic addition to the Yukonstruct community. She makes all her handles on the Yukonstruct metal forge.
All workshop participants and instructors will be asked to present their vaccination passport upon arrival. Unfortunately will not be able to allow anyone without a vaccination passport to participate in the workshop.
We will ask you to wash your hands as soon as you enter the building. After you wash your hands, we encourage you not to touch your mouth or eyes while in the building.
Masks are required to be worn by all participants at all times.
Our instructor will be wearing a mask when social distancing is not possible.
