Do It Women is a DIY series of monthly workshops where women use tools and equipment to build projects and skills together. Beginners are welcome (and encouraged). No membership is required!
This month we focus on metal working with an artful project of welding a metal rose. Learn to use essential metal working equipment and grow your skills with hands-on experience with a plasma cutter, grinder, and acetylene torches.
We’ll have jackets, gloves and helmets for participants. Please bring steel toed boots if you have them, and definitely wear long pants that aren’t of a super light or flammable material and that you are okay to get dirty. We’re going to be working with open flame and it will be fairly warm in the shop.
All materials are covered in the price of the workshop.
$25 per workshop. If price is a barrier, please contact YWITT for assistance: [email protected]
DIW accrues a wait list each month. If you are unable to attend the workshop, please email [email protected] so we can offer your space to someone else. Two days notice is ideal, but same day notice is also appreciated.
Please bring and wear a fabric or dust face mask.
Our instructor will be wearing a fabric mask when proper distancing can’t be followed.
