Get started blacksmithing and forge yourself a hook or skewer!

You will use the induction forge to heat and shape metal and learn to use an anvil and basic hand tools.

This workshop covers the basics of how to use YuKonstruct’s induction forge including safety, power settings and working with different metals. Thanks to a small group size you will get lots of practice!

Closed-toe shoes and non-flammable, non-synthetic clothing are required for this workshop. Participants may wish to bring their own own leather gloves and protective eyewear.

Considered orientation and safety training for the induction forge for Yukonstruct members.

About the instructor: Jonathon has been passionate about blacksmithing since high school and never lost his interest. He made his own medieval armor!

Please note this training is only available to Yukonstruct members. If you are a member, preferably you already completed our metal shop orientation.
